Bench Warrant Against Kaodenero’s Associates Cancelled, Bail Restored

By SKS

Magistrate Braima Jah on Friday, June 13, 2024, cancelled a bench warrant issued against Amidu Sesay, one of Kaodenero’s associates, and restored his bail.

The warrant was originally issued because Sesay failed to appear before the court in connection with allegations of assault and intimidation filed by musician Frederick Peters, alias Famous.

During the proceedings, the second accused, Med Denero, was present, but Amidu Sesay was absent.

In response, the lead Prosecutor, Assistant Commissioner of Police Joan Bull, requested a bench warrant against Sesay and his sureties to ensure his court appearance.

The request was granted by Magistrate Jah.

At the previous hearing, despite pleas from defence counsel Zacharias Kanu for the court to maintain Sesay’s bail, Magistrate Jah rescinded it and adjourned the case.

During Friday’s hearing, the Prosecutor was absent, and as a result, the court could not proceed. Magistrate Jah adjourned the matter to June 20, 2025.

Both Amidu Sesay and Mohamed Kargbo are currently on trial for seven charges, including conspiracy, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, disorderly conduct, and intimidation.

The alleged offenses took place on February 22, 2025, at Radisson Blu Hotel, Aberdeen, Freetown. It is claimed that Sesay and Kargbo conspired with unknown persons to assault Frederick Peters (Famous) and Ibrahim Fofanah, and to behave in a disorderly manner, causing fear and intimidation.
